The typical engagement takes the form of a defined 3-month plan, which includes 2-4 days per month of CFO level consulting. The ClearPath advisor works directly with the CFO or Controller to develop financial management tools to provide strategic direction and insight to the CEO and the senior management team.
Target Deliverables may include scheduled hands-on sessions with the CFO or Controller to provide mentoring, and working through specific projects and typically include specific deliverables for ClearPath. In addition, ClearPath typically has direct interaction with the CEO and other executives to create an integrated and dynamic executive team relationship. Each session is followed by a written or verbal report addressing key items such as:
- In-depth financial review and assessment of accuracy of financial information
- Creation or enhancement of real time business forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Interaction with Executive Management Team to promote peer-to-peer communication and drive strategic initiatives and focus
- Sales and Gross Margin management and forecasting
- Bank relationships, refinancing and debt covenant management
- Creation of dashboard to include high-level CEO driven metrics
